Emnekart 2006 sold out

Previous
Next

It's now official. The Emnekart 2006 conference (the Norwegian Topic Maps conference) passed 220 registered attendees today, which means that it's full. There is more room for people in the restaurant, and on the stairs in the lecture halls, but the venue says it's inadvisable to go above this number because of general comfort, air quality, etc

For those who haven't registered yet there is a waiting list; we'll see if anyone on that list actually gets in. In any case, the Ontopia events before and after the conference are still open, even for non-attendees. For those who have registered: this promises to be a great conference! I'm really looking forward to it.

To put this in perspective, if this conference were in the US, and a similar proportion of the population showed up, the conference would have 14200 participants (using Wikipedia numbers). Pity it isn't in China, as we'd have 62200 participants there... :-)

I expect to report on the conference itself next week, so stay tuned.
